McCartee's Barn is Salem , New York 's Fine Arts and Antiques shop. On June 28th from 2-5 PM, please plan on attending the artists' reception for 'LOCAL MASTERS', an exhibit of paintings by Joan Duff-Bohrer, and sculptures by David Wade. The works by Bohrer and Wade will be shown from June 28 - July 19, 2008.

Joan Bohrer's work evolves from the simple to the complex. She paints mostly in oil on canvas, combining a variety of marks made with various drawing materials. Her pieces often include collage elements, and frequently focus on the transient elegance of flowers in bloom.

David Wade is a sculptor, who works in a broad variety of materials. He will be exhibiting assemblages of marble, and river rocks, as well as some wooden carvings. His pieces are appealing both visually and tactilely.

McCartee's Barn is located at 23c East Broadway, Salem , New York . It is next to Salem Central School on Rt. 153. The regular shop hours are as follows:
Mon-Sat: 10-5, Sun: 1-5. Please call proprietors Sue Clary or Donna Orlyk at 518-854-7614 for further information or directions.
